I know that most of us wanted to use Aweber in CMS Infusion. I do too, however, you must be aware that adding Aweber or GetResponse does not replace your cmsi inhouse email system. If you don’t modify your default cmsi email messages, it will confuse your user and will lead to a high inactive account rate.

Q: ” Home Page”
Should the home page be:
1. a “pre-sell” of your site designed to get email addresses by giving
away an article or
2. the actual sales page with order form and various member level prices
or
3. the Member’s Sign in page (which also has a “Join Us” Link)?
A: My best answer for you is to creating 3 index pages ( or more if you want ), name it index1, index 2 for example.
Then do a test to see which one convert best. ( You can switch the homepage between the 3 by clicking on “link to navigation”
In general, from marketing perspective, your most important goal is capturing your prospect emails, then make them your customers by building good communication and trust. By building a list, you have more chances to make them your customers rather than one shot hard sale.
I would test a combination of both option 1 & 2 as well. For example, a sales letter with free trial/signup option, people who paid go into your customer list, people who signed up for free, take them to your one time offer (OTO ), or special upgrade page…Keep them in your prospect list.

If Cmsinfusion had all other bells and whistles BUT NOT this Search Engine Friendly STATIC URL built in engine,
I wouldn’t purchase it. Period!
Because it is one of the most wanted features in all CMS systems.
Usually with most CMS softwares you would see a page was created like this:
http://www.domain.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=2097&Itemid=1&show=1
Right, the link looks ugly. But the problem is more serious.
When people type into search engine such as Google to find, say, “atlanta real estate”
Assume your website is about buying, selling real estate. And you have serveral pages about Atlanta Real Estate.
But each link of your webpage was formatted like the link above, it is not search engine friendly therefore it might take a long time for Search Engines like Google to find it.
With CMSInfusion, you can create a full SEO ( search engine optimization ) new page in just a couple clicks and each page can be customized with proper keywords, meta title, meta description, meta category, page title.
Here is how. First click on Add Link Category, name link title such as: Hud Homes.
Then click on List Pages and click on Create Page.
In page title, add a compelling head line, such as: Great Deals On Atlanta’s Hud Homes
Next in save file as, choose your keyword, such as: AtlantaHudHomes
It will be saved as .html file.
Now in SLUG, you have a choice to leave it blank or take advantage of it and add your secondary keyword, such as AtlantaGeorgiaRealEstate
Next fill in your meta title such as: Buying Selling Atlanta Real Estate
In meta description, type a short description of your service such as: Free Guide On Finding Great Atlanta Hud Home Deals.
In meta category, put Real Estate
In meta keywords, put all your important keywords such as: atlanta real estate, atlanta hud homes…
Next, choose meta robots. This is a great feature that was made easy with CMSInfusion.
Do you want search engines’ spiders to index and follow all links on your page? Select ” ALL”
Only index the page with no follow? Choose : Index,Nofollow
Or Is this webpage created for paid members only, then choose” NONE”
Ok, fill in the content for the page and click save. Then click and link page to the navigation. Click active category. Congratulations! You’re done!!
And here is the URL to your new page, it looks similar like this:
http://yourdomain.com/AtlantaGeorgiaRealEstate/cms/AtlantaHudHomes.html
You can do lower case or uppercase keywords, SE ( search engines ) treats them the same.
Now right click on your page and view source code, you are seeing the way the SE ’spiders sees it.

Updated from CMSI tech:
This is due to your web hosting not having GD library. Please check your web host to make sure they have GD compiled with the support of FreeType fonts and curl support. Please don’t use PHP version 5.0.4 as that it is a known buggy version and the script may not function correctly there.
