Ok, I got this  question a lot. How to make your homepage/ salespage unique apart from MemberSpeed default’s home page?

To be clear, how to make the homepage as a sales letter, like a mini site?

Here is how to do it in MemberSpeed ( as of 1.91 )

There are 2 ways:

 1/ Keep default template

 And go to Navigation Module / hide all links on frontend ( homepage ) -

 Then go to Site Design Module/ EditPages/ Change Home Page/

Select SOURCE and type/copy your html sales letter to the box

OR:

2/ Go to Site Design Module/ EditPages/ Home Page and Special Offer Page Display settings /

 Select no template for homepage.

 Then go to Site Design Module/ EditPages/ Change Home Page/

 Select SOURCE and type/copy your html sales letter to the box

To remove the default Registration_Form tag

Go to Site Design Module/Edit Pages/Add/Remove Form Tags

Select NO form tag on home page. Hit save.

If you remove the form tag on your sales letter/homepage.
You may want to add a SIGN UP NOW link, or ORDER NOW link with graphic.

If 1.91 then go to Navigation/Manage Link category/Join Now/ copy the URL
If prior 1.91, you have to active the Join Now link, click on it and copy it from your browser.
 
Join Now link must be active and pernament for this to work.

Due to some bugs found on 1.9, the patch fix 1.91 is out today.

You need to install the core and plugins 1.9 PRIOR to 1.91.

General Step:

- Make a backup of your existing site and data

- Make sure .htaccess is 777

- Delete all /install_update/ folders AFTER finished installation

Here is the how to:

1/ Upgrade Core 1.9 to 1.91

- Download the Zend or IonCube Core patch 1.91 ( Look in Product Updates section )

- Extract and upload files to Yourdomain.com = Where_You_Installed _MemberSpeed, Via Binary Mode, Select Overwrite All when asked

- Copy the command on your browser and hit Go or Enter to install it:

Yourdomain.com/install_update/install.php

2/ Update Plugins : there are 5 plugins need to be updated : 3 standard plugins and 2 commercial plugins

( see the names highlighted in green color  as below )

- Download the plugins Zend or IonCube patch 1.91.

- Extract and upload to Yourdomain.com = Where_You_Installed _MemberSpeed/plugins/name_of_plugin/. Via Binary Mode, Select Overwrite All when asked

a/ Run installation command on these 3 plugins:

- Copy the commands on your browser and hit Go or Enter to install it:

Yourdomain.com/plugins/affiliate/install_update/install.php
Yourdomain.com/plugins/reseller_manager/install_update/install.php  ( commercial plugin)
Yourdomain.com/plugins/product_manager/install_update/install.php

b/ NO NEED to run command on these 2:

Yourdomain.com/plugins/article
Yourdomain.com/plugins/review_management   ( commercial plugin)
