This is actually more like a patch for 2.0. Nothing major.

A lot people hate it when update is released every week, but on the positive side, Member Speed Tech is working hard to get the software better everyday.

Plus, this update is this simple: here is  how:

1/ change  .htaccess to 777

2/ upload core, run command:  Yourdomain.com/install_update/install.php

3/ upload the following plugins, NO NEED to run install:

Yourdomain.com/plugins/article
Yourdomain.com/plugins/jv_zone
Yourdomain.com/plugins/link_tracking
Yourdomain.com/plugins/product_manager
Yourdomain.com/plugins/review_management

4/ Upload and run command for shopping cart 2.2

Yourdomain.com/plugins/shopping_cart/install_update/install.php

 Done!!

Quick Shopping cart set up guide:

1/ Go to Shoppping cart Module/ System Variable

Add your paypal/2CO id

2/ Shoppping cart Module/ Configuration

Add you own criteria

3/ Add category, add product/ Assign product to category, Activate both category and product

As of now- version 1.91, memberspeed has 20 level of membership available in Member Management Module.

The lowest one is a Free level being as 20 in the hierachy tree.

The highest one is 1 in the hierachy tree.

You can set different commission scheme for each level.

Here is how:

1/ Go to Affiliate module

Click on Commission Scheme==> Create a new Scheme

Type in your commission value

Save.

2/ Go to Member Management Module

Click on Membership Configuration===> Commission Scheme

Assign the scheme you created earlier  to a membership level

 That’s it!

Note: If you don’t  want to give affiliate a commission on a particular membership level, just don’t associate it with any commission scheme.

Ok, I got this  question a lot. How to make your homepage/ salespage unique apart from MemberSpeed default’s home page?

To be clear, how to make the homepage as a sales letter, like a mini site?

Here is how to do it in MemberSpeed ( as of 1.91 )

There are 2 ways:

 1/ Keep default template

 And go to Navigation Module / hide all links on frontend ( homepage ) -

 Then go to Site Design Module/ EditPages/ Change Home Page/

Select SOURCE and type/copy your html sales letter to the box

OR:

2/ Go to Site Design Module/ EditPages/ Home Page and Special Offer Page Display settings /

 Select no template for homepage.

 Then go to Site Design Module/ EditPages/ Change Home Page/

 Select SOURCE and type/copy your html sales letter to the box

To remove the default Registration_Form tag

Go to Site Design Module/Edit Pages/Add/Remove Form Tags

Select NO form tag on home page. Hit save.

If you remove the form tag on your sales letter/homepage.
You may want to add a SIGN UP NOW link, or ORDER NOW link with graphic.

If 1.91 then go to Navigation/Manage Link category/Join Now/ copy the URL
If prior 1.91, you have to active the Join Now link, click on it and copy it from your browser.
 
Join Now link must be active and pernament for this to work.
